 Busy Fall

AJ Brewer (13) spent three weeks in Serbia with a 4 boy North American team to compete at the ITTF World Cadet Challenge.  In the team event AJ finished with a perfect 3-0 record.  Put together with his three weeks training in China, AJ is sure to benefit from these valuable international experiences.

While AJ has been overseas, Joey Cochran (17) has been putting in a lot of miles on the homefront.  Joey has won Open Championships in Cleveland and Dayton, was an Open finalist and U2400 winner in Erie, PA, and Open semifinalist in Akron.   Along the way, Joey has defeated the top rated player from three states: Arjun Shankaren (Kentucky), Randy Seemiller (Pennsylvania) and Samson Dubina (Ohio).

Also shining in Erie was Dan Seemiller Jr (16), winner of the junior event, and finalist in the U2200, as well as Andre Khailo (16), and CJ Brewer (9).

Joey and AJ have been invited to appear in Knoxville, Tennessee as the guest celebrities for the Foothills Celebrity Open on November 11.  In addition to competing in the tournament, they will also be assisting with a coaching clinic and will be featured on local “Live at 5” television in Knoxville.

Finally, Joey is one of three Americans traveling to Cairo, Egypt on December 7, where he will represent the US in the World Junior Championships.  Good luck Joey!

National Training Camp

USA Table Tennis has invited Joe Cochran and AJ Brewer to attend its two and a half week National Training Camp this month at Texas Wesleyan University. Joe (16) and AJ (13) traveled to Fort Worth, TX just a week after a very successful showing at the US Open in Charlotte, NC.

Current national rankings have Joe Cochran at #7 for the Under 18 category and AJ Brewer at #3 among boys Under Age 14.

China Training and Cadet Competition

Shortly after AJ Brewer returns from National Training Camp in Texas he will travel to China for an August training camp before competing in the China Junior Open in Taiyuan as a member of the US Cadet Team.
